Burger chain McDonald’s is quickly closing its U.S. workplaces this week because it prepares to tell company workers about its layoffs as a part of a broader firm restructuring, The Wall Avenue Journal reported on Sunday.
In an inside e-mail final week to U.S. workers and a few worldwide employees, McDonald’s requested them to make money working from home from Monday by Wednesday so it could ship staffing selections nearly, the report stated. It’s unclear what number of workers will probably be laid off.
“Throughout the week of April 3, we’ll talk key selections associated to roles and staffing ranges throughout the group,” the Chicago-based firm stated within the message seen by the Journal.
McDonald’s additionally requested workers to cancel all in-person conferences with distributors and different exterior events at its headquarters, the report added.
